Kian Javier has well-rounded experience from all sides of the table — agency life, client-side work, and freelancing.
Kian brings an extensive background in digital strategy, account management, and data analytics, with a strong focus on creating thoughtful and effective marketing campaigns. His expertise goes beyond the fundamentals, spanning website development, media planning and buying, brand development, and communications strategy.
Before joining Adverb, Kian built his expertise across a range of roles at organizations including the University of Alberta, Berlin Communications, and Amii (Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute). In these positions, he played a key role in shaping project management systems, leading campaign developments, and telling meaningful stories through data insights.
Kian holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of Alberta, adding an analytical edge to his marketing work. This allows him to tackle challenges from multiple angles — balancing bold creative ideas with thoughtful, data-informed strategy.
Outside of work, Kian is on a mission to track down the city's top restaurants and cocktail bars. When he's not playing food critic, he’s knee-deep in Formula 1, sketching, and pop culture happenings. Not to mention his love for true crime and horror that guarantee zero sleep because who doesn't love a good adrenaline rush paired with thrills and terrors?
